Thanks for visiting my page. I would like to tell the story of how Micky, Ticky, Boo! got started. When tucking my daughter to bed, I would make up stories. One night in 2002, I made up a story and called the characters, Micky, Ticky & Boo!. I liked the story so much that I decided to write a children's book (inspired by my then 2 year old daughter). I put pen to paper and the story developed. I knew they type of characters I wanted. Micky, a cat. Ticky, a clock and Boo! an exclamation point. So I drew up a sketch of these three characters and found an illustrator. Although I had a basic sketch of how I wanted them to look, I needed an artist who could bring them to life. Someone recommended my illustrator, Berry Holly and we worked together to get it right. Then finally, the characters were born!
So in 2003,with only a sketch of the characters, I decided to enter a contest sponsored by Disney's ABC Talent/Development program (by applying through the Urban Mediamakers program). Next thing I knew, I was told that my proposal to bring my characters to film didn't win, BUT I was a finalist. Wow, what an accomplishment! So, seven years later, I'm bringing life back into these characters through online means. So, I do hope you enjoy the characters, pictures and adventures of Micky, Ticky, Boo!.
